INCISIVE SURGICAL IS NAMED RECIPIENT OF THE FIRST ANNUAL HEALTH CARE HEROES AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN HEALTH CARE

Minneapolis, June 14 – Incisive Surgical, Inc. today announced that it has been named as the recipient of the first annual Health Care Heroes Award in the Innovation in Health Care category for its introductory product, the INSORB® Subcuticular Skin Stapler.  The INSORB Skin Stapler is a mechanical stapler which uses absorbable skin staples to close wounds after surgery.

“We are honored to be selected as the recipient of the first annual Health Care Heroes Award in the Innovation in Health Care category,” said John L. Shannon, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Incisive Surgical. “The INSORB Subcuticular Skin Stapler represents a revolutionary new skin closure modality, offering unique benefits to patients, clinicians and hospitals.  This award recognizes the creativity and dedication of our employees, and the profound value proposition of our technology.”

Twin Cities Business magazine and Medica join in honoring eight of Minnesota’s outstanding contributors to the quality of life in the State of Minnesota.  An elite panel of judges selected eight honorees in various categories.  The honorees were recognized at an awards breakfast today sponsored by Community Health Charities Minnesota.
