INCISIVE SURGICAL IS NAMED WINNER OF THE WALL STREET JOURNAL 2006 TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AWARD IN MEDICAL DEVICES
Minneapolis, September 11, 2006 – MINNEAPOLIS, September 11 – Incisive Surgical, Inc. today announced that it has been named as the winner of the Wall Street Journal 2006 Technology Innovation Award in the medical devices industry for its introductory product, the INSORB®|20 Subcuticular Skin Stapler. The INSORB|20 Skin Stapler is a mechanical stapler which uses absorbable skin staples to close wounds after surgery.

For the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Awards, now in their sixth year, judges considered novel technologies from around the world in several categories: medicine and medical devices, wireless, security, consumer electronics, semiconductors and others. A Wall Street Journal editor initially screened more than 600 applications. The judges selected 12 category winners and 37 runners-up.
