INCISIVE SURGICAL TO LAUNCH SECOND GENERATION ABSORBABLE SKIN STAPLER AT AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS MEETING
INSORB|25 Skin Stapler Features More Robust Design…Additional Features

Minneapolis, October 8 – Incisive Surgical, Inc. today announced that it will launch the second generation of its INSORB Subcuticular Skin Stapler at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Surgeons being held in New Orleans from October 8 – 11, 2007.  The INSORB®|25 Skin Stapler is a patented medical device that places an absorbable staple underneath the skin to close surgical incisions.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of our next generation device, the INSORB|25 Subcuticular Skin Stapler, at the American College of Surgeons Meeting in October,” said John L. Shannon, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Incisive Surgical. “The INSORB Skin Stapler represents a revolutionary new skin closure technology, offering unique benefits to patients, clinicians and hospitals.  Incisive Surgical has received many national awards, including the Wall Street Journal 2006 Technology Innovation Award in the medical devices industry category which recognizes the profound value proposition of our technology.  We continue to expand the usage of the INSORB Stapler across an increased number of surgical procedures and specialties.  The second generation INSORB|25 Stapler offers a more robust design, as well as additional features requested by our growing list of clinicians, including holding 25 absorbable staples sufficient to close an incision up to 21 cm in length.”

About Incisive Surgical
Incisive Surgical, Inc. is a privately-held medical device company established to develop proprietary mechanical surgical solutions for skin closure. The company’s introductory product, the INSORB|20 Subcuticular Skin Stapler, is a patented new skin closure device designed to combine the cosmetic result of absorbable suture with the rapid closure times associated with metal skin staplers, and eliminate the need to remove metal staples post-operatively. The INSORB Absorbable Staple is comprised of a biocompatible material, which is absorbed over a period of a few months. For more information, visit www.insorb.com
