  • Is comprised of a Poly-Lactic Acid/Poly-Glycolic Acid (PLA/PGA) co-polymer with an established history of wound closure. Initial studies suggest that this copolymer is “tissue-friendly”.
  • Utilizes the proprietary Incisive closure technology, the INSORB Absorbable Staple is placed through the tissue path created by two surgically sharpened needles, and securely fastens the approximated edges of tissue.
  • Degrades via a process of hydrolysis and is gradually absorbed by the body over a period of months.
  • Design features a patented polymeric U-shaped staple with hooks.
